# Introduction

Gavedu closes India's digital divide by turning public Wi-Fi into decentralized physical infrastructure. Built by **Bhumitat Technologies** on the Government of India's **PM-WANI** framework, it places real, deployed hardware — not promises — at the center of the network, and settles its economics transparently on a public blockchain.

At the heart of the project is **GVDT**, a utility token on the **Base** Ethereum Layer-2 network. GVDT aligns three groups around one shared goal — expanding free public internet:

* **Wi-Fi consumers** get free internet by engaging with sponsored ads.
* **PDOs** (Public Data Offices) host the physical hotspots and earn on-chain rewards tied to real, measured uptime.
* **Investors** stake capital that directly funds new physical node deployments.

Gavedu is a token **on Base**, not its own blockchain. Its value rests on verifiable real-world assets: physical PM-WANI Wi-Fi nodes you can locate on a map and verify on-chain.
