# Ad-Sponsored Internet Access

## Overview

Gavedu PM-WANI hotspots democratize broadband access through a simple idea: instead of paying with money, users pay attention. By engaging with sponsored ads at login, users get internet access for free.

## The model

Rather than subscription or pay-per-use billing, the ad-sponsored model works as a loop that benefits every side:

* **Users** get free internet in exchange for engaging with sponsored content.
* **Advertisers** reach a real, local, opted-in audience.
* **PDOs** (the hosts of the hardware) earn a share of the ad economy their hotspots generate.

Reward points earned from ads live **off-chain** in the application database and are burned once the internet time is used. They fund connectivity without ever minting or diluting the on-chain GVDT token — keeping the consumer experience gas-free and the token supply fixed.
